An Elopement is Just the two of you
What is an elopement? An elopement is the most intimate of wedding ceremonies. Most elopements consist of the wedding couple, the officiant, the photographer and only 1 or 2 witnesses- sometimes the photographer can be the witness. Sometimes a small group of immediate family members usually less than 15 is part of this elopement. Our elopement packages are for couple only but can be expanded into what we call a Minimony with group dining on-site. Elopements are offered year-round at the Secret Redwood Retreat with ceremony, photography & dining on-site.
Elopement weddings are known to be more flexible than traditional church or larger weddings, in the sense that there is no limit to what you can say as part of your personalized vows and there is no awkward audience so that you can be as real and relaxed as possible. You can enjoy your first dance within your ceremony if that is your dream.
Some questions to ask if you are desiring an elopement or intimate wedding at the Secret Redwood Retreat:
- Do you want a wedding party for the ceremony?
- Do you expect and want friends and family to get ready with you on the wedding day?
- Do you want celebratory reception activities like first dances, toasts, speeches, games & time for a dance party?
- Do you want a quick and simple wedding 4 hours or less or do you prefer a wedding of leisure with more traditional wedding fun, activities and connection time?
- Do you want a traditional rehearsal or just couples only?
Our Intimate Wedding Packages include up to 7 hours of wedding time, wedding parties, 1 group getting ready space, dance parties and traditional wedding activities for groups of 10-40.
